Governor Josh Stein today announced the appointment of Tracey Henderson to the District Court for Judicial District 14, which serves Cumberland County. Henderson will fill the vacancy created by the earlier appointment of the Honorable Stephen Stokes to the Superior Court.
Henderson brings a wealth of experience to the bench, having worked as a litigator with a focus on both family law and criminal law. Her public service extends to her roles as an Appeals Hearing Officer for the city of Fayetteville and as a member of the city's Ethics Commission.
An Army veteran, Henderson also currently serves as the President of the Cumberland County Bar Association. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Fayetteville State University and a Juris Doctor degree from Western Michigan University.
"Tracey has valuable skills and experience that will support her work in Cumberland County," stated Governor Josh Stein. "She is the right person for the job, and I look forward to her service."
