Fayetteville Teen Arrested and Charged in June Homicide Investigation

Fayetteville police have charged and arrested a suspect in connection with a homicide that occurred last month. On Sunday, June 8, 2025, police responded to a reported homicide in the 3600 block of Dornoch Drive, where they found Rolando Gomez II deceased.

Detectives with the Fayetteville Police Department's Homicide Unit have identified the suspect as Kam'Ron Tolson, an 18-year-old from Fayetteville.

Tolson faces a list of charges, including first-degree murder, discharging a weapon into occupied property, and felony conspiracy. He has also been charged with five counts of breaking and entering a motor vehicle and one count of felony possession of stolen goods.

Tolson is currently being held without bond at the Cumberland County Detention Center. The Fayetteville Police Department thanked Hoke County Probation/Parole for their assistance in the arrest.

The investigation into the homicide remains active and ongoing.
