Fayetteville, NC - February 26, 2025 - Deputies with the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office responded to the 4000 Block of Gainey Road for a 911 call for a body found in a pond on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 2:33pm. 

The preliminary investigation revealed a victim who was pronounced deceased on the scene. As of this morning, Wednesday, February 26, Detectives are still conducting their investigation in the area.
