2 Dead, 2 Injured in Fayetteville Shooting

Fayetteville Police Department detectives are investigating a fatal incident involving multiple victims on the 5200 block of North Sumac Circle. Two individuals were pronounced deceased at the scene, and two others were transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Sunday night just before 10 o'clock, Fayetteville Police Department officers responded to reports of shots fired in the 5200 block of N. Sumac Circle. Upon arrival, officers and Emergency Medical Service personnel discovered four victims.

According to officials, one adult male and two adult females were located with gunshot wounds. A second adult male was found suffering from apparent stab wounds.

One male victim and one female victim were pronounced deceased at the scene. The remaining female victim and the male victim with stab wounds were transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The Fayetteville Police Department’s Homicide Unit has assumed control of the investigation. Authorities stated that the investigation remains active and further details will be provided as they are confirmed. No identities have been released at this time.
