The Fayetteville Police Department has identified the victim of the fatal shooting on Dwelle Drive and arrested Elijah Lloyd IV in connection with the case.

Fay News 10 has confirmed that the victim of the homicide occurring on February 7, 2026, was Damarr Johnson, 44, Fayetteville. Authorities stated that Johnson’s next of kin has been notified following the incident at the 2900 block of Dwelle Drive.

Elijah Lloyd IV, 32, of Spring Lake, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder for the death of Johnson. Lloyd was processed at the Cumberland County Detention Center, where he is currently being held without bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday, February 9, 2026, at 2:30 p.m. at the detention center.
