Fayetteville Woman Charged with Murder in Infant Death
Cumberland County detectives have arrested Cornelia Moore, 54, of Fayetteville, in connection with the death of an infant earlier this year. Moore faces charges of intentional child abuse, serious injury, and first-degree murder. The investigation began in May after the infant's death at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center. An autopsy later determined the death to be a homicide, with the infant under Moore's care at the time of the incident. Moore is being held without bond.
