“Facets Multi” Exhibit Highlights Fayetteville’s Art and Community at Regional Airport
FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Fayetteville Regional Airport is taking art to new heights with its latest Fly at FAY exhibit, Facets Multi. The showcase features twelve talented local artists whose work celebrates the heart and diversity of Fayetteville.
Curator Collyn Strothers says the idea behind Facets Multi is about bringing everyone together through creativity. “Facets came from just embracing the diversity and the different areas and the different people that we have in Fayetteville,” Strothers said. “When I was thinking about a show, I was trying to think of how to embrace everybody for the beauty that, when everybody comes together, we have what we call our city, Fayetteville.”
Airport Marketing Specialist Daria Parker says the exhibit is part of a larger effort to make the airport feel more connected to the community. “The reason why we wanted to add art into Fayetteville Regional Airport was our goal is to create a sense of connection with our travelers and also within the city,” Parker explained. “And by doing that, we wanted to highlight the local artists and the culture that they show through their art.”
The opening reception for Facets Multi will take place Wednesday, October 23, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. at Fayetteville Regional Airport. The event is free and open to the public, giving visitors a chance to meet the artists, enjoy light refreshments, and experience Fayetteville’s creative energy up close.
The exhibit will remain on display through February 5, 2026, offering travelers and locals a bright, inspiring look at the many faces and stories that make Fayetteville a city full of art, culture, and connection.
