
Chevy Pickup Suspect Sought After Hope Mills Trailer Theft
HOPE MILLS, NC – The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's assistance in identifying a suspect and locating an enclosed trailer stolen from a residence in Hope Mills earlier this week.
According to a report filed with the Sheriff's Office, on Monday, July 28, 2025, at approximately 3:45 PM, an unknown individual driving a Chevrolet pickup truck, believed to be from the model years 1999 to 2005, entered the driveway of a home in the 5500 block of Gilcrest Sands Drive. The suspect then hooked up to and stole an enclosed trailer from the property.
Property Crime Detectives have released images of both the suspect's pickup truck and the stolen trailer, hoping that someone in the community will recognize the vehicles.
Authorities are urging anyone with information regarding this theft, the suspect's vehicle, or the whereabouts of the stolen trailer to contact Detective J. Dean at 910-677-5458.
