Fayetteville Residents: Thursday's Solid Waste Collection Rescheduled for Saturday!

June 20, 20251 min read

Fayetteville residents whose solid waste was scheduled for collection on Thursday will see their routes serviced tomorrow, Saturday, June 21st. The City of Fayetteville's Solid Waste Collectors will be working across the entire city to catch up on the delayed pickups.

To ensure your solid waste is collected, residents with Thursday routes are reminded to place their carts curbside by 6:00 AM on Saturday, June 21st.

The Solid Waste Division also emphasizes the importance of proper cart placement. To facilitate efficient and timely collection, please ensure your carts are placed at least four feet away from any obstructions, including vehicles, mailboxes, and other objects. This clear space allows collection vehicles to safely and effectively empty your carts.

For information on future holiday collection changes and to view the full collection calendar, residents are encouraged to visit FayettevilleNC.gov/SolidWaste.

Thank you for your cooperation as the City works to complete all solid waste collections.
