Registered Sex Offender Arrested Near Fayetteville Daycare, Held on Denied Bond

A registered sex offender was arrested Tuesday evening after being found on the premises of a local daycare.

Sex Offender Registration Unit Detectives were conducting surveillance at a daycare located at 2514 Sandhill Road in Fayetteville after receiving a tip. At approximately 5:55, detectives observed Calvin William Elliott, 26, of Parkton, enter the property and immediately took him into custody.

Elliott has been charged with Sex Offender on a Child Premises. He was processed at the Cumberland County Detention Center and is being held on a denied bond.

This is the second time Elliott has been arrested on this specific charge in under a month. Detectives from the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office Sex Offender Registration Unit previously arrested him for the same offense on September 18th.

Elliott's first court appearance is scheduled for Wednesday, October 8, at 2:30 at the Cumberland County Detention Center.
