Residents Invited to Share Vision for Downtown Fayetteville Property
Cumberland County is seeking public input on the future of the former Crown Event Center site in downtown Fayetteville. Residents are encouraged to participate in a brief, anonymous community survey to help guide the use of the property.
The initiative follows a June 2025 decision by the Board of Commissioners to halt construction on the downtown Crown Event Center. The board voted 5-2 to instead explore the renovation of the existing Crown Arena and Theatre. The county is now focused on reimagining the downtown site and views community input as a crucial step in this process.
The survey allows residents to share their vision for the space, which is located in the area of the Judge E. Maurice Braswell Cumberland County Courthouse.
