
Stolen Car Found, Woman Safe in Cumberland County
FAYETTEVILLE, NC – A stolen vehicle investigation took a positive turn Monday evening when a white Nissan Rogue, previously reported stolen, was located, and a woman initially thought to be abducted was found safe.
At approximately 8:15 p.m. on Monday, July 28, 2025, the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office received notification from the Hoke County Sheriff's Office that the stolen white Nissan Rogue, bearing South Carolina registration 834-ABQ, had been successfully located.
Adding a significant development to the ongoing inquiry, the female who had been picked up in Spring Lake by the occupants of the vehicle was also found safe and sound. Authorities confirmed that she explicitly stated she was not abducted, clarifying earlier concerns.
The Cumberland County Sheriff's Office stated that this case remains under active investigation. Further information will be released to the public as it becomes available.
