Cumberland County Schools Transition to Asynchronous Learning for Feb. 2

February 01, 20261 min read

Cumberland County Schools will operate on an asynchronous remote learning schedule on Monday, Feb. 2, 2026, due to inclement weather. This schedule requires students to complete assignments independently at their own pace rather than logging into live classes.

The district has established specific deadlines for the submission of these assignments. Elementary and middle school students have five days to submit their work, while high school students must complete their assignments within three days. Student attendance for Monday will be verified based on the completion and submission of these tasks.

All after-school activities, including athletic practices and events, are canceled for Monday. The Prime Time program will also remain closed. Students enrolled in college-level courses through Fayetteville State University, Fayetteville Technical Community College, or College Connections are advised to follow the specific guidance provided by their school principal.

Cumberland County Schools officials stated that updates regarding district operations will be shared through the ParentLink notification system and official district digital channels.
