A woman wanted in connection with a fatal vehicle crash has turned herself in to authorities, according to an update from the Fayetteville Police Department (FPD).
On October 21, 2025, Destini Rhinada Genwright surrendered to the Cumberland County Detention Center. She faces multiple charges, including Willful Speed Competition, Speeding, Careless and Reckless Driving, and Insurance Violation.
Genwright was subsequently released on a $10,000 unsecured bond.
Genwright is the sibling of Dymond Nekiya Monroe, the individual facing three counts of Involuntary Manslaughter related to the deaths of the E.E. Smith High School students.
The charges stem from an ongoing investigation into a fatal vehicle crash. The FPD’s Traffic Unit continues to analyze evidence associated with the incident.
Authorities emphasized that the investigation remains active and that additional information will be released to the public if it becomes available.
