HOPE MILLS, N.C. - A motorcyclist was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries following a collision in Hope Mills Wednesday evening. The North Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene on Legion Road just before 10:00 p.m.
According to preliminary reports from the Highway Patrol, a male motorcyclist was traveling northbound on Legion Road when a female driving a Cadillac allegedly failed to yield while making a turn. The resulting impact led to the motorcyclist sustaining injuries.
Emergency responders were quickly on the scene and provided medical attention to the injured motorcyclist before transporting them to an area hospital for further evaluation and treatment. Authorities have confirmed that the injuries sustained are not believed to be life-threatening.
The driver of the Cadillac was subsequently charged with a yield violation in connection with the accident.
The North Carolina Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate the details surrounding the collision.
